Monday: Thanksgiving Factoids

Q: In what year was the first recorded Autumnal feast of thanks and celebration held?

A: In 1621, settlers from the colony of Plymouth shared a feast of thanks with the Wampanoag Indians.  Various forms of thanksgiving feasts were celebrated thereafter by states and colonies for over 200 years prior to the declaration of Thanksgiving Day as a national holiday.
