Celebrity Birthdays: Tuesday

October 19th, 1962, is the birthday of Evander Holyfield.  Holyfield is the 5-Time Heavyweight Champion of the World.  Evander began his boxing career at the age of eleven at the Warren Memorial Boys' Club in Atlanta.  Holyfield is also famous for his reliance on faith in God, which he vocalized openly throughout his career.  One Scripture frequently referenced in Holyfield's autographs was Phil. 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

October 18th is the faux-birthday of my favorite Friend and paleontologist -- Dr. Ross Geller!  Unfortunately, Friends became extinct in 2004, but those of us born in the 1980's will always have fond memories of growing up at Central Perk.  Friends Factoid: Ross discloses his birthday to Joey in Season 9 while filling out hospital paperwork for a broken thumb.

Bon-Bon started in the back yard on a lovely Spring day.  It was so delightful to be outdoors on a beautiful day... while both eating and painting CHOCOLATES that I took a photo for the "favorites" archive. 

After completing the piece, I now dub the photo:

The Latest

So, what have I been up to that I haven't had any time to update the blog lately?!  Inquiring minds want to know!  Here's the run-down:

• Tests, tests, and more tests at school (for me and my tutoring students);
• A pesky arrhythmia that seems to be hypersensitized to adrenaline;
• (Thus....) Tests, tests, and more tests at the doc's office;
• 60th wedding anniversary party for the grandparents;
• 10-year class reunion for me;
• Trip to the ER for tachycardia (also for me, not the grandparents);
• Trip to the student nursing conference;
• Big paper due Monday;
• Prep for the first big "specialty" rotation in (ta-da!) Labor/Delivery and Newborn Nursery;
• Lamenting the shorter days and loving the cooler nights!

That's my last six weeks or so in a nutshell!  I'm ready to re-join bloggerdom and post with renewed regularity... mostly random pictorials or short commentaries, along with the occasional art debut.  Check it out!  Next daily/weekly "theme" starts Monday.
