Thursday: Thanksgiving Factoids

Q: Which Thanksgiving tradition has had the largest attendance at a single Turkey Day event for decades?

A: New York City's Thanksgiving Day Parade was first sponsored by Macy's in 1924.  The parade attracts an estimated 2 to 3 million on-lookers along the 2.5 miles of its route.  The parade's famous balloon displays also made it fashionable for cartoon characters and celebrities to be "full of hot air" as inspiration for one of the event's inflatable creations.
